Expert, Compassionate Therapy for Children, Youth, Adults & Families

At EFC, we believe every person deserves access to high-quality mental health care — regardless of how they pay for it. We are proud to now offer outpatient therapy services through private pay or insurance claims, expanding our reach to even more individuals and families across North Carolina.

Our licensed clinicians bring specialized training in evidence-based therapies proven to make a real difference. Whether you're a caregiver at your breaking point, a young person struggling with anxiety, or a family navigating the aftermath of trauma — we are here, and we are equipped to help.

Treatments That Work

Every therapy we offer has been rigorously researched and validated. We don't take a one-size-fits-all approach — your clinician will work with you to identify the right fit for your needs and goals.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

A gold-standard treatment for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. TF-CBT helps young people process difficult experiences, reduce trauma symptoms, and rebuild a sense of safety — with caregivers actively involved throughout.

Outpatient Individual & Family Therapy

General outpatient therapy is available for youth and adults. Sessions are tailored to your unique concerns and goals, drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches.

Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)

A comprehensive family-based treatment for adolescents struggling with substance use and related behavioral issues. MDFT addresses the individual, family, school, and community factors that contribute to and sustain these challenges.

Taking the First Step Is Easier Than You Think
